Power up at home, ready to go. Charging off a standard socket is slow and risky. CGF installs dedicated home and business EV chargers across Sydney. Licensed, AS/NZS 3000 compliant, upfront quotes.
Charging your electric car off a regular power point might seem fine at first, until you realise it takes all night to add a handful of kilometres and your socket is getting warm in the process. It’s slow, inefficient and wasn’t designed for the load an EV pulls hour after hour.
CGF installs dedicated EV chargers for homes and businesses across Sydney. A proper wall mounted charger delivers around 40–50 km of range per hour on single phase power, and more on three phase depending on your vehicle, so your car is actually ready when you need it. We handle the full job: site assessment, switchboard check, cable run, mounting, app setup and certification, so you plug in at night and drive away fully charged in the morning.
Under Australian law, a hardwired EV charger must be installed by a licensed electrician and comply with AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules), including its specific requirements for EV charging. We’re fully licensed, we do it properly and we leave you with a Certificate of Compliance and a system that works from day one.
For most Sydney homes, a 7kW single-phase charger is the sweet spot: fast enough to fully charge your EV overnight, usually without a switchboard upgrade. If you’ve got three-phase power, we can step up to 11kW or 22kW for an even faster turnaround, depending on what your car can accept.
A standard home installation typically runs between 1,800 and 2,500 including the charger, labour and certification. Simpler jobs with easy cable runs can fall around 1200 1,800, while more complex setups with long cable runs or switchboard upgrades might push toward $3,000. We quote upfront, no surprises. We also install Tesla Wall Connectors. The Gen 3 unit pairs perfectly with Tesla vehicles and can integrate with your solar and battery system to charge your car with sunshine you’ve already generated.
We install commercial chargers for offices, retail centres, strata buildings, medical practices and fleet depots. Whether you need one bay or twenty, our commercial electrical team handles the design, installation, load management and future expansion planning. Every commercial install starts with a full site assessment, switchboard and load evaluation and a written feasibility report. We also coordinate with strata committees and property managers, handling approvals, shared billing and compliance.
