Take More Control of Your Energy
Solar, batteries and EV charging work best when they are planned together, even if you install them at different times. CGF Security & Electrical looks at how your property generates, stores and uses electricity, then helps you build an energy system around your home, your lifestyle and what you may want to add next. From the switchboard and cabling through to solar, battery storage, EV charging, monitoring and handover, it can all be delivered through one team.
A solar system changes when you produce electricity. A battery changes when you can use it. An EV charger installations can become one of the largest electrical loads in the home.
The best result comes from understanding how those things work together. We look at your electricity use, roof, switchboard, existing equipment, tariffs, vehicle, parking position and future plans before recommending the next step. You might only need solar today. You might want a battery later. You might already have an EV and want to charge it using more of your own solar. The system should be planned around where you are going, not just what you are buying today.
Solar should be designed around your roof and the way your property actually uses power. We consider available roof space, shading, electricity use, switchboard requirements, equipment locations and any future battery or EV plans. The goal is a well considered system, a neat installation and a clear understanding of what you should realistically expect from it.
A battery can store excess solar generated during the day for use later, when the property may otherwise be buying electricity from the grid. We look at your solar production, household usage, tariffs and what you want the battery to achieve before discussing capacity. If backup power matters to you, we also discuss which circuits are important and what the selected system can actually support during an outage.
Home EV charging should fit your vehicle, your electrical supply and the way you actually drive. CGF assesses the parking position, switchboard, cable route and available electrical capacity before recommending a charger.
Where compatible, EV charging can also be considered alongside solar and battery systems to make better use of the energy your property generates.
You do not need to install everything at once. A good energy plan can be delivered in stages. If you install solar today but expect to add a battery later, we can consider that during the initial design. If an EV is coming in the next few years, tell us. If you expect a second EV, more air conditioning, a pool, an extension or other large electrical loads, those things matter too.
Thinking ahead can influence switchboard space, cable routes, inverter selection, metering and the way the overall system is designed.
This is one of the areas I would lean heavily into because it separates CGF from someone simply selling panels or batteries. Solar, batteries and EV chargers all connect back into the electrical system of the property. Before adding new equipment, we look at the switchboard, supply, protection, available capacity and supporting electrical work.
If something needs upgrading, we explain why. If it does not, we do not invent work for the sake of it.
Solar and energy equipment becomes part of your property. Panel layout, inverter position, battery location, charger placement and cable routes all affect the finished result.
We take those details seriously. Where there are choices, we discuss them with you before installation rather than simply putting equipment wherever it is easiest. That fits CGF much better than selling boxes.
Because CGF is an electrical business first, we can look beyond the individual product. We can manage the electrical infrastructure, switchboard work, solar, battery, EV charger, monitoring and associated electrical upgrades through one team. When the system is commissioned, we also show you how to use the supported monitoring and controls so you understand what has actually been installed.
